Box-office Collection: “Tiger Zinda Hai’ starring The Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif smashes a collection of around Rs 114.93 crore on Day 3

Salman Khan’s new movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has taken the box office by storm. The film started with Rs 34 crore at its opening day becoming the fourth biggest opener of all time. The film has collected a total of Rs 114.93 crore at the end of the first weekend which is staggering. Salman Khan gave fans and exhibitors wonderful X-Mas gift before X-Mas when his new action-thriller sequel “Tiger Zinda Hai” rolled out to an excellent debut in theatres across India and all over the world.

After the impressive start on Friday, “Tiger Zinda Hai” has kept the rhythm during the extended weekend with X-Mas falling on a Monday. The film made a booming Rs 45.53 crore on Sunday, creating a new-single-day record for Hindi film industry. As there is no major release at the box office it is enjoying a solo Bollywood release.

‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar the story revolves around a real incident of the hostage of Indian nurses by ISIS in 2014. The film has been shot in many locales of Abu Dhabi, Austria, Greece, and Morocco. Besides starring Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif, Sajjad Delfrooz, Paresh Rawal, Angad Bedi, Kumud Mishra, and Nawab Shah had a prominent role in the action thriller.

With a beginning so astonishing, Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is up for a dream run in the coming days. It has already crossed a number of Bollywood blockbusters behind. Salman’s earlier movie, Sultan had collected in a sum of Rs 104 crore in its first three days. Also talking about Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, it had collected more than Rs 100 crore in its first three days.

Adding to all this, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is also is in the race with the Telugu epic film, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion which collected Rs 128 crores in its first weekend. The coming days are going to turn even more important for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, because a place in the record books means that Tiger Zinda Hai will have to gross more than Rs 200 crore by its first week, which will not be easy. Hoping for the best that the movie will be able to break all the records.
