Breaking with tradition, but in line with recent rumors, Sony could not wait for the next Mobile World Congress to present its first smartphone in 2018, Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 mid-range smartphones go official in order to match the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Apparently, following the steps of MWC 2017 presented XA1 and XA1 Ultra, the duo XA2 / XA2 Ultra is labeled “bezel-less”, although the new models of 5.2 and 6 inches fit the traditional 16: 9 HD screens with relatively wide top and bottom bezel.

It is correct that their side bezels are almost invisible and the fingerprint sensors moved to back of the devices, which translates into a significant change in the design. Unfortunately, Sony has not yet confirmed that particular “update” and we do not know anything about the official prices of the three Android smartphones released today. Xperia L2 will be the first in line to the market, in “selected markets”, sometimes in the “end” of January 2018, followed by XA2 and XA2 Ultra, which will also come out in “specific markets” in February.

Moreover, the two share a respectable Snapdragon 630 processor, a powerful 23 MP rear camera, and a fresh Android 8.0 Oreo software, differentiating in the battery capacity department, respectively with 3,300 and 3,580 mAh. In addition to the obvious advantage of screen size, the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra stands out from its siblings with dual front-facing cameras with a 16 and 8 MP lens on a 6-inch display, related to a single 8-MP wide-angle lens for the “normal” XA2.

As for the 5.5-inch HD Xperia L2, its “expensive” screen stands out as a key selling point, even with mediocre resolution and thinner side bezels, as well as a discrete battery of 3,300 mAh, 13 MP rear camera f / 2.0, super wide-angle 8MP selfie snapper and “one touch” fingerprint recognition. We hope that the price is low enough to justify charging with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box
